The problem this page is for

A contract written against a schedule of rates prices the work before it starts — but the certificate that proves the work happened and the valuation that bills for it usually live in different systems, reconciled against each other by hand. That reconciliation is where errors and delay creep in: a valuation that doesn't match what was actually certified, or a certificate that never gets priced at all.

Who this is for

Electrical and gas contracting firms holding a measured-term or schedule-of-rates contract — typically with a housing association, local authority or managing agent — where remedial and additional work gets priced against the contract's own rate codes rather than quoted job by job.

What the add-on does

SOR Contracts & Valuations turns a contract into a real record inside NexCert: the rate schedule your contract is priced against, mapped so that work raised from a certificate picks up the right priced item. When a certificate identifies work beyond the original scope — a remedial item from an EICR observation, for example — it can be priced against the contract's own rates and raised as a valuation from the same place the certificate was issued, rather than retyped into a separate costing system.

Contracts work on any tier. Raising a valuation needs the property-management tools that start at the Growth tier.

What it does not do

This add-on does not set your prices, negotiate your contract, or replace the surveyor who agrees scope and value with the client. It prices what's already agreed, against rates that are already set, from a certificate that's already been issued.
